This vintage 1991 “Peggy Sue” porcelain collector doll by Edwin M. Knowles captures the nostalgic charm of 1950s Americana. Standing approximately 16 inches tall, she features hand-painted porcelain facial details, striking blue eyes, softly styled blonde hair with a pink bow, and a delicately constructed outfit inspired by classic sock-hop fashion.

She wears a blush pink cardigan with pearl embellishments over a lace-trimmed blouse, paired with a full grey poodle skirt featuring embroidered leash detailing and a dimensional pink poodle accent. White ankle socks and black-and-white saddle shoes complete her timeless mid-century look.

This is a vintage collectible display doll, created for adult collectors, not a modern play doll. She includes her display stand and presents beautifully for shelf or curio cabinet styling.

A lovely addition to any porcelain doll collection or nostalgic vintage décor display.

The Edwin M. Knowles China Company, founded in the early 1900s in West Virginia, became widely known in the 20th century for fine china and later collectible plates and dolls. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Knowles partnered with designers to produce limited-edition porcelain dolls aimed at the booming collector market.

The “Peggy Sue” theme celebrates the 1950s — an era romanticized in the 1990s through fashion revivals, sock-hop nostalgia, and mid-century Americana aesthetics. Poodle skirts became an enduring symbol of post-war youth culture, making this doll both culturally nostalgic and highly displayable.
