A wonderfully organic little piece of studio pottery with three individual flower openings gathered together into one sculptural form.
Each rounded vessel is hand formed in a warm earthy buff/tan clay and topped with a flared, glossy green-glazed neck. The three interconnected forms sit at slightly different angles, giving the piece the wonderfully imperfect character of handmade pottery.
Designed beautifully for individual flower stems, tiny sprigs or dried botanicals, this petite piece functions as a multi-spout bud vase or flower frog while being just as appealing displayed empty as a small piece of ceramic sculpture.
The underside bears an incised artist’s signature/mark, along with additional hand-inscribed markings. The maker has not been positively identified, so I prefer to leave the attribution open rather than guess.
Its mossy green and earthy neutral palette makes it especially lovely tucked into a cottage, botanical, rustic, studio-pottery or vintage green collection. I particularly love it styled with just a few tiny white blossoms—the pottery itself still gets to be the star.

Condition
Very good vintage/pre-owned handmade condition with expected characteristics of studio pottery. The surface has deliberate rustic texture, variations in glaze, firing marks, irregularities and earthy coloration consistent with its handmade character. The green glaze shows natural variation around the rims and necks.
