This is for a Vintage Ceramic Bicentennial Liquor Bottle featuring the depiction of John Trumbull’s 1819 painting, “Declaration of Independence.” This exquisite decanter, made in Japan, commemorates the moment when the first draft of the Declaration was presented to the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia on June 28, 1776. The painting, located in the Capitol Rotunda, shows Thomas Jefferson presenting the document to John Hancock, surrounded by other committee members including John Adams, Roger Sherman, Robert Livingston, and Benjamin Franklin. Measuring approximately 8” x 4” and weighing 1lb 5 oz, this unique piece from 1776-1976 is a perfect collectible for history enthusiasts and vintage decor lovers.
