A little game of cat and mouse — with the mice apparently winning. 🐱🐭💙

This wonderfully whimsical vintage porcelain figurine features a fluffy cream-and-white kitten leaning inquisitively over a powder-blue woven basket, where two tiny gray mice peek out from inside. Beautiful molded fur, basket-weave texture and soft pastel glazing give the piece that unmistakable vintage storybook charm.

The design has been identified as an Original Artmark cat-and-mice figurine, with matching examples attributed to Taiwan. Artmark examples of this exact design appear with the original foil identification label, although the label is no longer present on this piece.

The soft ivory, blush-beige, sage green and dusty blue palette makes this especially lovely for cottage, nursery-inspired, grandmillennial and vintage cat displays.

And of course, those two tiny mice peeking from the basket are the whole reason to own it. ❤️

 CONDITION —

Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The glossy finish and soft pastel colors present beautifully, with wonderful molded detail throughout the kitten’s fur, blue basket and tiny mice. There are scattered small dark specks/marks, light surface wear and manufacturing variations consistent with age. A small shallow nick/chip is present along the lower front edge of the base, as shown in the photographs. The underside shows expected shelf wear and discoloration. The original Artmark foil label is no longer present. No major cracks or repairs observed. Please review all photographs closely as they form part of the condition description.
